I did everything the hard way, careerwise (trying to become an illustrator while having a one-year-old is tough - I know I could be a lot better at it, but I just have no time). I thought I would be more successful & more together by now! I love being a mom but I really thought I'd be better at that, more June Cleaver-ish, than I am! <BR/><BR/>What was helpful, though, was reading blogs like Ayelet Waldman's or essays by Anne Lamott, where they said their 30s was actually much better.
