A Whole New Jack

He wears underwear & pees in the potty.

He stays in our church nursery without screaming (this has been an issue since he was 13 months old- one of us pretty much had to stay with him in the nursery for the past 2+years!).

He tells stories, volunteers & requests songs in Sunday School (and somehow it always ends up being hysterically funny- at least to John & me).

He goes right to sleep most nights without calling us in 100 times.

This has all happened in the past 3 weeks.

November has been a big month in our house.

That's lovely! March brought us a whole new Daniel and we've been trying to get rid of him ever since ;) Maybe Jack can spread the growing-up love!

oh yes- Jim was telling us about the whole new Daniel. hate to say it, with the good (and, obviously we've had some VERY good things happen!) have come the bad of 3 1/2.
ie- a very stubborn, willful child that runs away from me everywhere we go, cracking up as he goes because he knows that i can no longer catch him...

That little boy, sure is growing up! Sounds like he is ready to be a big brother!

That's God's grace to a very pregnant Mama! I'm glad for the break for you!

But he's done so well, now I'm getting greedy! I think "We need to teach him to fix his own breakfast and get his clothes on by himself!"

Congrats! Isn't it great when the kiddos start doing more and more by themselves?? Isaac started putting on his own belt for church (not that we make him wear a belt, he decided for himself he has to wear one for church) but he totally loops it and closes it all by himself. I don't know why it impresses me so much, but it does! :) Elizabeth potty-trained herself a few months ago (much to my delight) and I have been enjoying my diaper free house very much. Isaac was not so easy to train! Can't wait to see pics of the new one when he/she gets here!
