Jack & John's Morning Coffee

Yes, that is coffee in Jack's cup.  Heavily weighed down with milk, but coffee just the same.  The kid has drunk cold, black, day-old coffee that was left over in the carafe.  He's making up for my dislike of coffee I guess.

It was Spring Break this week.  Jack was dressed in costume every single day.  He was either Buzz Lightyear or Spiderman.  You  really have to swallow your pride when you are dragging you child out of Target while he's screaming, "Money!  Money!  Get some money for my toy!!", dressed as Buzz of course.

I also heard myself say, "You don't shoot webs at your mother!" to Jack this week.  I really am a mom!

But, I find myself wishing I could freeze Jack as this exact age for while.  He's so weird & so funny.  He hasn't developed the social self-consciousness yet (as evidenced by the public outings in costume & the web flinging at strangers).  He thinks I'm so cool & I know that won't last for much longer.  And the kid smothers me with hugs & kisses all day long.

I wish I a Buzz costume like Jack's. I also wish I could wear it out in public. That would be nice.

This doesn't sound like a typical Spring Break, but I love the story!

Why no toy?

And why is the word "OTHER" spelled out on your mantle?

No toy because sometimes mama isn't going to buy you every single crappy toy you want.

And OTHER because it's one of the few words we could spell with our letters.

My mom took Isaac shopping the other day and bought him his very first pair of Skechers. She said he kept opening the box and telling every single person they walked by in Kohl's about his new shoes and asked them if they wanted to try them on! :) Kids are just so fun! And they can get away with stuff! Don't you wish you could say all sorts of random stuff to strangers without getting weird looks?? :)

You could also spell "Theo" as in Theo Huxtable. (on your mantle)
